A few weeks ago, we met Madam Rufo Galma, a teacher at St. Theresa primary school, in Marsabit town. She is a faithful listener of the evening Burdani show at SIFA FM in Marsabit.
“My children and the villagers call me MAMA (mother) RADIO, because they constantly find me listening to the radio”
The jovial teacher shares her family is fully aware that they are not allowed to disturb her while listening to the Sifa FM news especially 7pm bulletin.

“As a teacher, I wake up very early in the morning to report to school. Then spend the whole day carrying out my responsibility at school which means I don’t have time to listen or watch news during the day. However, when I come back home, I always tune in to SIFA FM radio for the 7pm news bulleting. The Stations news are well detailed and cover county, country and international updates.
She continues to share her love for the flow of news and professionalism in delivery and balance the station offers in comparison to other local stations who focus on sensational news. She also enjoys listening to the vibrant, informative and entertaining Burudani show.
“How can I miss to follow through the number one evening show Burudani ?” Exclaims madam Galma. I love the topical issues discussed during the show including family welfare and the guidance and counselling discussions. As a mother, this has been helped me understand my responsibility as a parent and learnt how to make positive changes with regard to how I interact with my pupils.
