CJ Emeritus David Maraga shares a light moment with presenters Lion Obimbo and Ian Odhiambo during the live studio interview.

At Trans World Radio Kenya, our global vision has always been clear: To reach the world for Christ by mass media so that lasting fruit is produced. This week, we were honored to host Former Chief Justice David Kenani Maraga as a special studio guest, where he also paid a courtesy call to our Executive Director, Dr. Njoki Chege.

Reflecting on the ministry of radio, Justice Maraga shared from Revelation 14

“……6. Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth, to every nation, tribe, language and people.

He noted that as a young boy, he imagined seeing a real angel flying across the sky proclaiming the gospel. Today, he sees that scripture fulfilled through Trans World Radio Kenya and SIFA FM Stations. Where radio waves carry the Good News across vast regions, transforming lives in places that are otherwise hard to reach

Hosted live on the SIFA FM’s Changamka Breakfast Show by Lion Obimbo and Ian Odhiambo, Justice Maraga engaged directly with our audience. He responded to questions and was put to task by listeners from across our regions of broadcast Marsabit, Wajir, Voi as well as our growing online audience on Powerline Radio and on Facebook Live. This interaction demonstrated not only the accessibility of leaders through media but also the critical role of radio in giving a voice to people in both remote and digital spaces.

I am also grateful for the opportunity you have accorded me to speak to Kenyans,” he said. “Your platform is indeed fulfilling the prophecy of Revelation 14: 1-12…… My Christian values guide me, and I remain deeply involved in my church, especially in Bible Study. We serve a God of justice, and if you believe in God you will do what is right. I am not coming to politics enrich myself. God has already blessed me, and I have a conviction that you should only own what you can account for because you worked for it.”

Justice Maraga also shared that his entry into the 2027 presidential race is rooted in a desire to offer servant leadership, shaped by prayer, reflection, and a strong conviction to stand for justice. Before leaving, he took a moment to pray for the ministry of TWR Kenya and Sifa FM. Asking God to strengthen its mission, broaden its reach, and continue transforming lives through the power of the Gospel

CJ Emeritus David Maraga greets TWR Kenya Executive Director Dr. Njoki Chege during his visit, affirming the ministry’s mission of reaching the unreached.

On her part, Dr. Njoki Chege emphasized that while TWR Kenya continues to serve marginalized regions, the focus is also expanding to the unreached youth. A generation that is digitally connected yet spiritually searching, often feeling overlooked.

Through Devotional and Developmental programming, youth-centered broadcasts, and meaningful engagement, TWR Kenya is committed to walking alongside young people addressing their struggles, amplifying their voices, and sharing hope in Christ.”

As TWR Kenya, we are encouraged by Justice Maraga’s affirmation of this ministry and reminded that the work of radio is not just about information it is about transformation. Every broadcast is a chance to fulfill the Great Commission, ensuring that no one is beyond reach with message of Hope.
