SIFA FM is seeking passionate, creative, and community-oriented individuals to join our team as Radio Producer/Presenters for our stations in Lamu and Garissa.

This role is ideal for dynamic media professionals who are passionate about impactful storytelling, audience engagement, and producing quality radio content that speaks to communities in the ASAL (Arid and Semi-Arid Lands) regions.

Position Details
Job Title: Producer/Presenter
Location: Lamu & Garissa
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, produce, and present engaging radio programs.
• Conduct interviews, discussions, and live broadcasts.
• Develop relevant local content that resonates with target audiences.
• Prepare scripts, program rundowns, and production schedules.
• Coordinate with technical and programming teams during broadcasts.
• Support community engagement activities, outside broadcasts, and station events.
• Source stories, news features, and human-interest content from local communities.
• Manage social media engagement linked to radio programs.
• Ensure programs align with station values, editorial guidelines, and broadcast standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma/Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
• Experience in radio presentation, production, or community media is an added advantage.
• Strong command of English and Kiswahili.
• Knowledge of local languages spoken in Lamu or Garissa regions is highly desirable.
• Good voice presentation, interviewing, and storytelling skills.
• Basic audio editing and studio operation skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and outside broadcasts.
