Learning & Growing Every Morning on Sifa FM Marsabit.

Sifa FM Marsabit has been impacting lives on daily basis, for over a decade now.  Tracing the footprints of some of those daily impacts I met Ms. Rufo Waqo, a teacher at St. Theresa’s Primary school. She is a Madjirenna Program top fan and listenership is more to just vague and inexplicit one. She seems to have clear reasons drawn from some deep testimonies that she attributes to the Sifa FM’s morning program. Only two years of consistent listenership has elevated her to a level that she leads an exemplary lifestyle in secular world especially as a Christian professional at her work place.

Every single morning she turns on the radio expecting to add value to her life and family. As a family, they have been closely following the Dorothy Devotional Borana program consistently for a span of two years. The program has enabled her to overcome some personal issues that has been affecting her spiritual walk. In her narration, she could numerously highlight the aspect of learning and growing as a great benefit to her. More so, the prayer life of her family have been positively impacted by the program.

According to her, the radio has generally revived and raised a countless number of believers who are passionate for God in Marsabit and beyond. The staunch listeners who are also believers have developed a pool of individuals who fellowship via the radio. They call to know how everyone is doing, pray for one another and also discuss bible topics together. Ms. Rufo says that the fellowship aspect has made Sifa FM stand out as compared to other radio stations in the region. This level of uniqueness has made her heart stick to radio.  “It is amazing to learn from people that you have never seen,” she rightly puts it as she expresses her view on the impact of Sifa FM Marsabit. The radio allows different people to learn from many other, whom one might have never met.

As she prepares to go to school, she struggles to turn off the radio due to the appetizing message that she always get. However, even if she finally leaves her radio at home the good values that she gains from the radio follows her wherever she goes. She is able to do all things as unto the Lord (Col 3:23) even when she gets to her work station this is of course attributed to the simple but vital biblical lessons drawn from the radio on daily basis.
