Broadcast Engineer
Trans World Radio (TWR) Kenya | SIFA FM Stations
Location: Nairobi (with travel to station sites across Kenya)
Trans World Radio (TWR) Kenya, through SIFA FM Stations, is an award-winning Christian media organization operating a network of community radio stations across Kenya’s arid and semi-arid regions. We are seeking an experienced Broadcast Engineer to provide technical leadership and ensure the reliability, compliance and continuous improvement of our broadcast network.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, maintenance and upgrading of broadcast and transmission systems.
- Oversee FM transmitters, studio equipment, RF systems and broadcast infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) regulations and licensing requirements.
- Supervise and mentor technical staff across the station network.
- Prepare technical reports, manage engineering projects and support donor-funded initiatives.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in broadcast technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Broadcast Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in broadcast engineering, including FM transmission and studio systems.
- Strong knowledge of RF systems, broadcast automation, networking and audio production technologies.
- Knowledge of CA licensing requirements and broadcasting regulations.
- Registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) is an added advantage.
